JENESYS 2018
I was just blessed to Visit and explore the culture of o ne
of the Visited Country in the World The Land of the Rising Sun, Japan . Japan
International Cooperation Center or JICE is the organization in-charge of
conducting the program in cooperation with various local governments, schools,
and international exchange organizations in each area.
Approximately 6,000 youths from overseas to
Japan every year with a view towards promoting mutual understanding and
friendship with Japanese youths and citizens.
A group of youths visits Japan and stays for around 9-10 days; first participating in a common program in Tokyo, and then dividing into subgroups of 20 to 30 youths, each joining a local program. Group programs are mainly composed of school visits and home stays to promote mutual understanding, friendship, and trust through firsthand exchange with Japanese students and local residents. For some specific fields, we also offer programs that combine exchange and training. (Source: JICE)

I had a
lot of beautiful memories on Japan .Never in my wildest dreams I can just I visit
this nation without even having some issues with visa and other requirements.
We undergo some several workshops and Visited some of Japan’s Historical
Places.
As an Asian Studies Student I was so full of joy when Ifind out we would Visit Tokyo University of
Foreign Stuidies . I observed people
from every tribe and nations are enrolled in that University .Then we
had culture workshop with some officials of the University and the Singaporian
Delagates they used the Soba noodles since its one of the Japanese Traditional
Noodles.
We also have courtesy
call with Nagareyama City Mayor Yoshiharu Izaki regarding family policy,
economic market and marketing strategies discussion at Nagareyama City Hall. He
is an alumni of the ministry of the foreign affairs. And during the
introduction I was amazed that they said he worked for America's Urban Planning
before.
It was truly an honor to meet one of Japan's Diplomat Ms.Mariko Watanabe. She's The assitant Director of Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in Japan in Asean (I did not get the clear post but she's assigned for Japan -Asean) and I was a lil emotional when she was delivering her inspiring speech and announcing our certification and giving us the title " The Jenesys" ( it means we're officially part of the Jenesys Alumni now) . She said once in her life she told her self I wanna visit Australia and with her determination she got accepted on an exchange program in Australia and she told her self again I wanna go back to this nation. We can never tell that those lil dreams can really be you're destiny .From those lil dreams to being an exchange student and now a diplomat was really an amazing testimony that nothing is really impossible with God .If you had that passion in you're heart pursue that don't follow the crowd.Touch a nation.
Thank you JENESYS
program (JICE And Ministry of Foreign Affairs )and NATIONAL YOUTH COMMISSION for such a wonderful experience in Japan. My cultural
exchange has given me many things and it's hard to believe that time run's so
fast . From Visiting their Historical Places,Japanese culture preservation
lectures ,exchanging learnings with the Students in Japan's University, courtesy
call with the Mayor and even the Home Staying with the Japanese Family it was
all a memorable experience that I will forever treasured in my heart Together
with Japan's Tourism slogan truly it was an endless discoveries for me staying
in the Land of the rising Sun.It has always been an honor for me to be part of
the Jenesys 2018 Argatou gozaimasu
